Eyebrow Trends and How to Achieve Them

Your eyebrows help frame your face and give you that polished look and nowadays, the more experimental, the better! You'll see all sorts of eyebrow looks on the runway and it's becoming more popular as creative individuals look for the newest trend. The most common eyebrow trend that is growing popular in not only public figures but also individuals like ourselves is microblading.

Microblading gives you semi-permanent eyebrows by filling in sparse areas with hair-like strokes. But if you like your eyebrows feathered, tripled, carved, wavy and even foiled,  it's not out of the ordinary and can definitely be achieved! Read on to find out how you can get the eyebrow you desire.

Microblading

Nobody has perfect eyebrows. But if you were not blessed with fully grown eyebrows or you accidentally over plucked your eyebrows and the hairs are not growing back, then this is for you. Microblading helps to reconstruct your eyebrows by filling in sparse areas.

This method uses tiny needles in the form of a blade or a pen and deposits pigment in the skin. Think of it as a tattoo for your eyebrows. The only difference is microblading is semi-permanent and will fade away after a certain amount of time, which means regular appointments are necessary if you want to maintain your eyebrows.

With microblading, you don't have to worry about filling in your eyebrows every morning because microblading does the job for you. A highly trained professional draws your brows in little hair-like strokes in sparse areas. The look is as precise and as natural as they can be. The results appear phenomenal and it's no wonder many women are raving all about it!

Feather brows

If you happen to have one of those glue sticks for school, you can easily get feather brows. This eyebrow trend is highly popular among the younger generation. A swipe of glue stick is spread across the eyebrows and using an eyebrow brush or a pointed tool, the hairs are separated down the middle to give a feather-like shape. You can add a bit of brow gel to keep the hairs in place and some sparkle on the arch to give that real, abstract feather look. Just remember to wash off the glue with lukewarm water if you don't want the feather anymore.

Triple brows

Triple brows are the latest craze in eyebrow art and design. Because one eyebrow is not enough, why not have three? Professional makeup artists design triple brows for models on the runway by extending the end of your natural brows and drawing in 2 more full brows under your natural brow using makeup. You can definitely go all out with this look and make the end of the brows look dramatic, yet not overpowering the entire eye makeup look.  This eyebrow trend is creative, personal, and perfect for music festivals or another special event in town.

Carved brows

If triple brows are not your style, perhaps carved brows? This eyebrow trend uses makeup to outline the shape of your eyebrow. The shape, color, and style of your eyebrows are highlighted and stands out from the rest of face. Add some dimension by using a dark eyeshadow around the edges to give that dramatic, realistic look.

Wavy brows

Probably the most quirky and strangest eyebrow trend is the wavy brow but it's gaining attention on social media. Wavy brows follow the natural shape of your eyebrow, but instead of drawing a straight line, draw a squiggly line with alternating highs and lows for a more dramatic look or keep it even to make it subtle yet noticeable. You can apply more pigment in the center and less on the end to create a gradient look.

Foil brows

Foil brows are another trend on the model runway and include the use of foil, particularly gold foil, over the shape of your brows. But of course, you can fancy any foil color depending on your preference. Metallic and chrome foil are also excellent choices. Cut out the shape of your eyebrows using tin foil and use eyelash glue to apply them on. Just remember to be extremely careful when removing it because you don't want to lose those precious hairs!
